I have not gotten it to work in the past month and a half. Why this is occurring I do not know but I wish I did. I had hoped Service Pack 3 would fix the problem but it did nothing and Corel\’s tech support is so abysmal you might as well not even try to get help there.

If I knew what I know now there is no way I would touch this offering. However, it is just possible it is a small coding bug that with a hotfix it would be right at the top again. Till then, stay away. If you want a recommendation for a free player, try Leawo. It is above average and does not crash, ever, if my experience will suffice. No Windows 8 support, even in compatibility mode and NO plans by Corel to do anything about it.

If you have a bluray player and have no intention of upgrading to Windows 8, this program is a good budget solution to your problem. The other features are fluff that don\’t really add to the user experience at all–most of those features are thing your computer can already do, and do better either natively or through free third-party programs.

Corel Win DVD is a uni-tasker that is already on the way to being obsolete. Save your money. Corel is always a great Value. I have been using Corel products since the early 90\’s and have always been more that pleased. I don\’t know how Corel gives you so much product for such a reasonable price, but they keep doing it. Not only is this product great, but I would recommend all their products if you want value without any fear of buying a product over the internet. Corel only sells quality programs that do what they say they do.

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. This of course was all running on a pc using a k, 8gb drr3 , gtx , p8zm, and GB ssd. No yearly upgrade costs at least not for the past couple that I\’ve seen. Latest patch out apparently makes this more compatible with Win8, although I\’m on Win7 so??? Lastly, as stated, it just works, but make sure you at least download the trial on their site before you buy and test out as many bluray movies as you can.

Cons: Does not work with 3dOverrider running. UI could be a bit more responsive and better laid out IMO. Movie menu mouse support is ok, but only in full screen mode. I am very disappointed in this product.
